Camp Counselors

The Process

Vacation Bible Camp Counselor Crew Team Staff
  • Vacation Bible Camp has been a blessing to so many young and old for many years. One of the things that makes camp special for a young person is their godly counselor. Let’s be frank, this is not a week of vacation without responsibility or care. Quite the contrary, a counselor’s job is hard work and a counselor who first has a heart for the Lord and then His people is the kind of person camp needs.

  • You must submit one of the following; a letter of recommendation signed by more than one person and neither being a family member, or a letter of commendation from your local assembly signed by several brothers.

  • Camp counselors must be confirmed by camp administration!

Please express your interest (why you want to be a counselor) via email and attach your letter, send to maherharoun@msn.com and pauliepalmer@gmail.com

We are so excited that you are interested in serving at Vacation Bible Camp and look forward to getting back to you as soon as we can.

  • Counselors should plan to arrive into John Wayne Airport (SNA) or Los Angeles International (LAX) on Saturday before camp. Camp concludes on Friday morning. A bonfire is being planned for the following Saturday in Orange County usually at Huntington Beach. Plan to depart for home on Sunday, if you plan to stay for the bonfire from one of the airports aforementioned. Of course, you can travel back home on Saturday, but hope that you take the advantage of enjoying the additional fellowship with the saints and likely some of your campers.

Book early enough to get the best deal on your travel. If you have to fly in on Sunday, you should plan to arrive into San Diego International (SAN) before 10:30 am PST at the latest.

Once you have booked your tickets, please let us know your itinerary ASAP by emailing the info to: ___________.

Also don’t forget to register for camp!

  • All counselors are expected to attend the counselor training before camp on the Saturday evening in Orange County. We’d like counselors to be at Pine Valley Bible Conference Center by 11:30 AM on Sunday morning. Staff will meet for the breaking of bread, lunch, then prepare for registration check-in. Counselors will be given registration assignments on Saturday evening. If you will miss Saturday evening or Sunday morning due to travel, please speak with Paul Palmer immediately.
